A wild scramble in front of the Marchand goal during Sunday’s warm-up game against Dennery at Mindoo Phillip Park.
Twenty eight goals were scored in eleven matches as action continued at the weekend in the play-off competition and warm-up games as teams fine tune their preparations for the 2009 Blackheart Kashif and Shanghai knockout football tournament kicking off June 12th at the George Odlum Stadium.

Two former champions, the defending champions Dennery and Mabouya Valley lost in warm-up action at the weekend. Friday afternoon at the Marchand Grounds, Marchand had a one goal to nil win over play off team Babonneau. A goal scored by Lincoln Phillipin the first half gave Marchand victory.
.
Saturday afternoon at the Micoud Playing field, Defending Champions Dennery had a three nil win over Mon Repos. Goals for Dennery coming from Kurt Federick, Zane Pierre and Dave Prince. Also at Micoud Saturday, home team Micoud with an impressive display of fine inter passing and attacking football, defeated former Blackheart champions Mabouya Valley two goals to one. Cornelius Butcher and Nerville Florence from the penalty spot converted for Micoud, while Hanif Dolor scored a late consolation goal for Mabouya Valley.
Saturday afternoon at the Mindoo Phillip Park, Central Castries won over Gros Islet one goal to nil. A goal by Trevor Daniel gave Castries victory.
Also on Saturday afternoon at the Marchand Grounds, Marchand edged past La Clery three goals to two. Scoring for Marchand were Robert Lewis, Lincoln Phillip and Marciano Prince.
Sunday at the Soufriere Mini Stadium, Vieux Fort South defeated Choiseul one goal to nil in a warm-up encounter. A goal by an Andre Stephen gave Vieux Fort South victory.
Vieux Fort North and Anse La Raye played to a one all draw. Dane St Croix put Anse La Raye ahead in the first half, but Ali Charles equalized for Vieux Fort North in the second half.
In a Northern Zone play off game, Roseau Valley came from behind to defeat South East Castries 2-1. Shervon Jack put South East Castries ahead in the 28th minute, but a double strike by Shane Nicholas in the 77th and 80th minute gave Roseau Valley victory.
This victory by Roseau makes the Northern Zone play offs very interesting with one match to play—Babonneau against South East Castries. A win or draw for Babonneau will ensure their place in the playoff final, but a South East Castries win make it interesting, as all three teams in the zone would have a one win one loss record. As a result, goal difference would determine the team that qualifies.
.
In Southern Zone playoff action, host team Soufriere won over Laborie Four goals to one. For Soufriere, Agustus Lucien with two goals and one each from Jason Alexander and Garvey Mathurin led Soufriere to victory. Ashley Duncan converted Laborie’s lone goal.
On Sunday, Marchand played two warm-up games at the Mindoo Phillip Park. In the first encounter they played to a one all draw with South Castries. Claude James put South Castries ahead, but Neil “Turbo” Fletcher equalized for Marchand.
In the second encounter, Marchand defeated defending Blackheart Champions Dennery two nil. Marciano Prince and Neil “Turbo” Fletcher who is from Dennery and fell out of favor with the Dennery camp since the 2004 Blackheart Finals when he missed an easy opportunity against eventual champions Omai All Stars of Guyana were the Marchand goal scorers.
Play off action continues today (Thursday) with Laborie coming up against Choiseul and Babonneau meeting South East Castries at venues to be announced later. A number of teams will also be involved in warm up matches later this week.download Babylon 5: The River of Souls Forbidden Warrior download
